The vibe here is hip and casual. The navy and grey tones in the main dining room offer sophistication. During the day natural light floods in via the large windows. The white brick walls and light wood floors of the bar area suggest a “cool barn”. We like the open kitchen, wood-burning oven, and open raw oyster bar. If you’re looking for a faster paced meal or are dining solo, the Bar Room is a nice option. If you favor a sit-down and longer stay, seek out the dining room.
Henrietta Red definitely leans gourmet with its chef driven cooking. The menu's flavor packed dishes offer a balance for varying appetites. Small salads, oysters, squash toast, turnip steak, butternut squash gratin, farro risotto, braised lamb and grits, rabbit cassoulet, red snapper, and seared sea scallops are menu examples. There is also a "raw bar" menu that offers oysters, clams, ceviche and more. If you come for the weekend brunch, the menu has savory breakfast options like a baked egg and kale, huevos rancheros, quiche and breakfast sandwiches. Sweeter options include Monkey Bread, cinnamon roll, coffee cake, pancakes, and an apple fritter. Light eaters can order salads, veggies or a lighter style entree.
Dining Room Tue-Sunday 5:30p-10p (Closed Mondays); Bar Room is open much later.
