The studio is close to our Midtown and Downtown hotel locations, 1 block south of Houston Street, and above a ground floor retail space. The studio occupies the entire 2nd floor of the building. The studio is large, filled with natural light and accents of hot pink (a nod to the owner's favorite color). Fierce Grace offers the Hot Bikram Sequence along with general 90 minute yoga class accompanied by hip hop music, 75 minute "Deep Core" and a 60 minute "The Fix". There are a few other classes too.
Locker rooms feature showers and plenty of space for stashing personal items. A single class is $25, and towel and mat rentals are extra. Check their website for class information including more detailed explanation of classes. Typically 4-6 classes are offered each day with the earliest beginning at 7a and the latest at 8:15p
ABOUT BIKRAM YOGA
Bikram Yoga welcomes beginners. This 90 minute class consists of 26 beginning postures and is conducted in a hot room (approx. 110 degrees) with, hopefully, high humidity. But don't be fooled into thinking beginning means easy - it doesn't! Iron men and couch potatoes, alike, have found themselves floored in "dead man's pose" just minutes into this challenging workout. You don't have to be strong or flexible or in excellent shape to do this yoga - you simply have to be willing. What we also really like about Bikram's is that every studio teaches the same sequence of postures so you always know you're going to get a full-body workout, a great benefit for travelers.
