These paved paths that meander along the revitalized Oklahoma River frontage are the best option for downtown runners seeking to accrue significant mileage. Downtown Oklahoma City's busy/narrow streets and squiggly sidewalks are not very conducive to the two-legged, sweaty types. But, these paths are, and they are stretch for 6-7 miles on each side of the river. Presently, there is no footbridge to connect both sides, so if you go on foot from downtown, just stay on the north side, it goes for 7 miles end to end. Pick up the path either at Exchange Street or at the Chesapeake Boathouse (Regatta Park). Check out the weblink to the left for a route map.
