If you're staying in the northwest part of the city, the best place to run or bicycle longer distances is on the meandering paved paths along Lake Hefner. Drive and park your car in one of the many lots and hit these flat but scenic paths. See our photos for additional insight.

For those staying at the Marriott Northwest or any other spot in the northwest part of the city, this is your best health club and lap pool option. Lighthouse's fitness space is a single area separated from the entrance by a railing, this facility is one large warehouse-type structure.
Despite this academic institution having a fitness center, we recommend this venue for its stellar lap pool, the gym is below average.
These paved paths that meander along the revitalized Oklahoma River frontage are the best option for downtown runners seeking to accrue significant mileage. Downtown Oklahoma City's busy/narrow streets and squiggly sidewalks are not very conducive to the two-legged, sweaty types.

Recently acquired by the Oklahoma Health Science Center, the University Health Club is one of the best stand-alone health club in downtown Oklahoma City.
Inside a multi-storey former silo, rock climbers will find this unique climbing venue. Outdoor climbing channels are also available, weather permitting.
- Rock Climbing
Spirit House is a small studio offering various styles of yoga ranging from gentle and restorative to rigorous power yoga (see descriptions below). The large practice room is complete with cherry wood floors, 2 large windows and soothing golden walls.
This community center offers the closest lap pool and health club to the Hilton Skirvin, Renaissance, Sheraton and Colcord hotels. The facility is by no means huge.
