This light and airy studio is located close to the Ocean on Pacific Coast Highway and offers various styles of heated and non-heated yoga from Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, original 90 minute Bikram Yoga and a 60 minute Bikram power hour. Infrared heating panels and humidifiers ensure that the heated classes are toasty, and the wood texture flooring prevents smells and germ transmission. There are plenty of cubbies in the studio to store your belongings. There are no traditional showers here, but there is a shower setup on the patio for those wanting a fast rinse!
Bring your own mat & towel or rent them for $4.00 each item / or $7.00 for both Mat & towel combo. In the lobby you’ll find a retail section selling yoga essentials and beverages (water & coconut water). A single class is $25; One week travelers' deal is $59. (Expires 7 days from first use.)
Check the website for class schedule and more information, but unless there is a holiday, classes are offered throughout the day with the earliest beginning at 7a and the latest at 7p.
ABOUT BIKRAM YOGA
Bikram Yoga welcomes beginners. This 90 minute class consists of 26 beginning postures and is conducted in a hot room (approx. 110 degrees) with, hopefully, high humidity. But don't be fooled into thinking beginning means easy - it doesn't! Iron men and couch potatoes, alike, have found themselves floored in "dead man's pose" just minutes into this challenging workout. You don't have to be strong or flexible or in excellent shape to do this yoga - you simply have to be willing. What we also really like about Bikram's is that every studio teaches the same sequence of postures so you always know you're going to get a full-body workout, a great benefit for travelers.
