What do most travelers to Paris want from their hotel? Convenient and central location? Attentive and friendly service?Impressive rooms with comfortable bedding and memorable decor? Good exercise opportunities? They're all here at the Castille. It's the reason we bestowed a gold rating upon this property.
The boutique 83-room and 25-suite Castille is a refreshing departure from big franchise hotel uniformity. Personality exudes from every direction inside and out. Various room styles are offered and guests can choose from traditional Venetian design to a more modern experience. The entire hotel offers free WiFi, a welcome upgrade since last we visited.
We recommend upgrading to a "Deluxe" floorplan which brings more space (25 square meters vs. 15 square meters) and a better likelihood of overlooking the quiet courtyard instead of the bustling street. All guest quarters also include wonderful carrara marble baths with good water pressure, an important feature after a long day sightseeing.
Front desk and concierge staff enjoy their opportunities to help guests fall in love with Paris and their hotel. Museum questions, restaurant recommendations, French interpretations; you name it and you'll get it with a smile. Castille's on-site restaurant, L'Assagio, prepares delicious Italian meals and may make you forget that this is the heart of Paris, not Florence or Milan.
For your sweat, Castille offers a better than average on-site gym stocked with new Life Fitness cardio machines and a dumbbell set. It's small and limited but throughout Europe, it's difficult to find top-notch gym equipment in a hotel. In addition to an indoor workout, guests should consider an outdoor walk or run utilizing custom route maps/cards designed by Athletic-Minded Traveler. Yes, that's us! Pick up one of our maps from the concierge or the front desk.
