L'Hotel bestows many unique benefits upon its privileged guests which makes it one of our favorite properties. Its most appealing feature may not even be located on property, an across-the-street location from beautiful Parc Monceau. The greenscape is a favorite spot for local city dwellers looking to relax and joggers seeking a placid run on a crushed stone path measuring one kilometer (.6 mile). Playgrounds and historic statues can also be found and, believe it or not, free WiFi access can be picked up with your computer.
On a quiet street, but still within walking distance of the Champs Elysees (~ 6 blocks), L'Hotel du Collectionneur's upscale abode impresses with modern common areas, multiple guestroom floorplans, and a satisfying on-site gym. Room sizes range from the entry-level "Deluxe" quarters measuring 323 square-feet in size to the "Family" abodes designed with two bedrooms that measure a combined 700 square feet. All have windows that open, free WiFi, mini-flat screen televisions, upscale bedding and small marble baths.
The 25' x 25' hardwood floor workout space creates a very pleasant sweat environment (see our photo). We'd prefer to find a few more top notch machines on deck, but the equipment inside is decent. Joggers have two treadmills to choose fron, while elliptical fans may have to compete with other athletic-minded guests for the one Cybex ArcTrainer (there really should be at least two). Strength equipment is decent but not overly impressive. A 1-10kg (~2-25 lbs) dumbbell set and two Cybex stack-loaded machines (one upper body and one lower) will pump most muscle groups.
Head outside to Parc Monceau's 1K circle trail or the nearby River Seine's path (about 10 minutes jaunt) for an outdoor run.
