Similar to its competitor across the street (Le Meridien E'toile), Hyatt Regency Paris Étoile is a massive, highrise hotel built primarily for travelers desiring convenient access to the attached Palais de Congres convention center. Although Arc de Triomphe is within a ten minute walk, the immediate area is not as lively/desirable as the streets surrounding many of our other recommended properties. True, the top of Champs Elysees is walkable as well, but the heart of the famed avenue is distant. Superior and Deluxe rooms at Paris Étoile (offered on floors 8-29) are tiny (237 square feet) and in need of makeovers.
The 34th floor houses a fitness center for hotel guests. It's just treadmills and a bike. Nothing more than that.
Joggers should consider a run through nearby Bois de Boulogne and those wanting to pedal through Paris can rent a bike at the stand next to Le Meridian across the street. Under the hotel is an arcade with shops and cafes as well as a metro station for easy transportation to the rest of Paris.
