We recommend Le Meridian E'toile primarily for those in search a convenient abode while in town for meetings and/or convention business in the immediate vicinity. The hotel faces the convention center; and the Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe are not far. This is the largest hotel in central Paris.
The property itself is a soaring high-rise with 1,025 rooms and suites as well as abundant meeting space. Guest quarters are modern and tastefully adorned in a muted colour palette of grey, light blue and charcoal. Some rooms and suites also have splendid views. But, the space inside is relatively confining and while bathrooms are luxuriously appointed, counter-space is limited. Art and design are a focus throughout the hotel and the unique pieces add interest. We certainly appreciate the free WiFi access. For those staying a while, consider upgrading to the LM Club level, which will grant access to the Club Lounge and its free breakfast and other freebies!
The hotel's fitness center is well equipped with ample Technogym treadmills, steppers, exercise bikes, weightlifting machines and a range of free weights. The fitness machines are equipped with touch screens in 15 languages with TV, internet, and games. WiFi is also available. Towels and complimentary water are provided. Complimentary to hotel guests, the fitness center is open 24/7.
Joggers should consider running to and through the nearby Bois de Boulogne - a park about 5-minutes jaunt away with paths that meander for miles. A commuter bike rental stand is located adjacent to the hotel; use a credit card for access.
