The only private health club in Montparnasse, this upscale sweat-house is a good, but pricey (25Euro admission), option for athletic-minded travelers. Within 10 minutes walk of most Montparnasse hotels, this appealing club is convenient too.

Unfortunately, we didn't realize that this club is CLOSED ON SUNDAYS, so we didn't get to take a look inside. From the outside, this particular Club Med looks to be smaller than the other Club Meds we toured.

On the south side of Paris (near the Cite Universitaire) in the 14th arrondissement, this park offers a small greenspace with a useful .94-mile asphalt path. Early birds who want to run inside the park must wait for the gates to open at 8am during the week and 9am on weekends.

Lap swimming in a Parisian public pool is not for finicky swimmers searching for empty lanes, perfect water temps and pristine changing areas. Most Parisian pools are crowded, disorganized and a little dirty.

Piscine Blomet is a relatively appealing neighborhood pool that stretches 50 meters from side to side with 5 bottom stripes and usually 3-4 floating lane lines. The pool can get extremely crowded, as many as 6 to a lane, so try to come during weekday work hours to avoid the masses.
