Not really a "health club" but instead a fitness studio offering myriad classes and custom workouts. Awarded "Philly's Best Gym" by Philadelphia Magazine and prides itself on its high quality group and personal training. What we like about Unite is that ANYONE can drop in on one of the many group training classes for $20.
Each class is typically 75 minutes and combines cardio intervals (running or spinning), strength training (weights/bands), yoga stretch, and final relaxation. While Unite does have a reservation system, reservations are not required. Classes are offered throughout the day (as early as 6:30a, and as late as 7:00p), at various levels (L1-L4 with L4 being Advanced).
Examples of classes are: Cross Training, Martial Cross Training (kickboxing followed by weight/bands), Suspension Training (body weight training), Hardcore (Pilates cross training), CardiYoga (running and spinning intervals followed by yoga).
Enter off of Sansom Street. Elevator entrance at lobby doors on 12th St. Knock for attendant or use call box, #633 to get buzzed in. There are lockerooms and towel rentals are $1.
