Andina (Pearl District)

1314 NW Glisan Street
Portland, OR 97209
503-228-9535websitePrice: Expensive
Area: Downtown

This very well rated restaurant earns praise for its authentic and gourmet Peruvian cooking.  The Pearl District location is a plus as there are other bars, shops and eateries in the area. Guests can dine in the more formal, earth toned contemporary main room with exposed wood beamed ceiling, or get comfortable in the causal "cantina," i.e. bar. Private dining also available.

With an extensive small plate selection as well as heartier and more traditional entrées, diners can customize their meal easily. The ceviche is a specialty and typically there are enough veggies that can be ordered to up the health quotient. Seafood is the star here, but there are other options. Entree highlights include quinoa risotto with market fresh veggies, Pisco-brined chicken, roasted fresh fish topped with ginger & scallion and served atop shiitake mushroom and bok choy. The tapas list is BIG!

Vegetarian friendly

Open daily for lunch and dinner. Lunch starts at 11:30. Can be noisy; booths afford a more quiet dinner.
