This restaurant is well known for its Lounge which hosts various live music acts. The restaurant also gets good reviews for its upscale diner style menu and cool setting with lots of wood, a cozy fireplace, soaring ceilings, vinyl booths and retro furnishings. The truck-stop-like log cabin exterior belies the casual yet swank interior. The American menu has a Northwestern bent featuring Oregon grown Marion berries, Tillamook cheddar, Idaho trout, smoked draper valley turkey breast and the famous "fir" burger. For those dining alone or at an odd hour check out the bar and patio area.

Breakfast is our favored meal here. Start with a bowl of fresh fruit, a smoothie, old fashioned rolled oats, or some granola and yogurt. Big eaters can dive into egg combos, croissant French toast, banana hazelnut pancakes or biscuits and gravy. Healthy eaters will appreciate the veggie sausage option and the blackbird scramble made with tofu, portabella mushrooms and roasted rosemary potatoes. Lunch starts at 11a and offers soups, big salads (including spinach) with choice of grilled chicken, smoked salmon or crab cake. There's also a Nicoise with smoked trout and a cobb. A bevy of sandwiches, both hot and cold, are on the menu such as the garden burger, French dip, meatloaf sandwich, and the "farmer sandwich" with all sorts of veggies. Luckily for salad lovers, the dinner menu keeps the entrée salads as wall as the burgers. Entrées include marionberry breast of chicken, pork loin stuffed with fruit and goat cheese, grilled ahi picatta, seafood linguine, grilled marinated Alaskan King salmon, pork chops and flat iron steak. Food "happy hour" daily 3p to 6p; Live music at the 300-person downstairs lounge.

All three meals served.  Breakfast starts at 7a and is served until 3p. Late night menu offered until 2a on Fri and Sat
