We like this upscale Italian restaurant because it offers grilled protein dishes, authentic wood-fired pizzas, and a decent array of antipasti (for veggie lovers) in a warm and friendly space. Located in a converted grocery warehouse, the large open space features arching beams, an open kitchen, floor to ceiling windows (that open in the summer), exposed brick and lots of wood. The vibe is contemporary Pacific Northwest with a ski lodge feel.

While the menu changes daily, you can count on a number of antipasti (some lighter e.g., salad of Corona beans and albacore, some heavier e.g, wood roasted cheese with prosciutto), two soups, two or three upscale starter salads, nearly a dozen gourmet pizzas, and unseal entrées such as flat iron steak over arugula, pork steak and Tuscan ribs, rotisserie guinea hen, and house made fettuccine. Daily specials typically add fish to the mix and the sides selection offers veggie lovers a few more choices.

Reservations recommended; Can get noisy.

Open for lunch M-F starting at 11:30a; Dinner nightly
