This 50's style diner is considered to be Reno's best breakfast spot, but we suggest that you keep your expectations in check. While it's not overly unique nor gourmet, it does get the breakfast (and lunch) job done quite well. The homey feel, natural light, friendly service and BIG plates will undoubtedly satisfy hearty eaters. For those looking to keep it light and healthy there are options for you too, but not nearly as many. Along with the tables, there is a counter that seats about 10. Keep in mind that this place gets crowded, so avoid prime times. If you do get stuck waiting, you can take advantage of the self-serve coffee.
It's a big menu and all the breakfast favorites are offered. On the lighter side go for the fruit, grilled salmon and eggs, steel cut oatmeal, veggie benedict without the sauce, or the lo-carb plate (cottage cheese, choice of protein and veggies). Other menu stand-outs include huevos rancheros, spinach salad, salmon tacos, sliders, and the chile relleno and eggs.
