Located on the south side of the city, Inntel Rotterdam Centre is approximately 1 mile beyond the heart of Rotterdam's retail and commercial district, but it is closer to the Maas River (on the bank) and cruise terminal. This luxurious 4-star design hotel is located in a unique spot in the centre of Rotterdam and at the foot of the Erasmus bridge. Travelers arriving at the central train station will need to taxi to the hotel, figure about a 5-minute ride without traffic and 10 minutes with. A metro-station is situated adjacent to the hotel as well.
Drawing from its surroundings, the hotel carries a nautical theme throughout. Rooms are painted in deep blues, adorned with boat-themed pictures, and boast tremendous riverside views. All 263 guest quarters recently added a splash of modern style with IKEA-ish furnishings, standing floor lamps and free WiFi internet access.
The workout room is TINY, maybe 15ft x 10ft. However, floor-to-ceiling windows and 8th floor views certainly help open up the space. Three Life Fitness cardio machines are wedged beside one another, all with individual television screens. The spacing is tolerable, unless a fellow athletic-minded traveler is huffing and puffing next to you. No dumbbells are offered for strength-equipment enthusiasts. Instead, plan on pumping your muscles with a multigym which includes a lat-pulley system.
Runners are in close proximity to Het Park as well as the riverfront's sidewalks and bridges. We think you'll like Het Park's greenscape and paths better (about a half-mile from the hotel).
Swimmers must look off-site as Inntel doesn't own a lap pool. Consider David Lloyd - it's 2 km away and €20/day.
