Rotterdam isn't a huge tourist destination, so the number of quality hotels is minimal. Our review/recommendation of NH Atlanta is directed to those travelers desiring a wallet-friendly accommodation and a central location.
The mid-rise property overlooks one of downtown Rotterdam's main retail and restaurant thoroughfares. In fact, one of restaurant faves is a block away - La Borsa.
Rooms are modest, basic and underwhelming. Keep in mind you're not paying for glitz and glamour, at least you shouldn't be. Pastel colors, aging furniture and mini-televisions underwhelm. Consider paying a little more for a room upgrade. "Superior" rooms are more attractive with hardwood flooring, a flat-screen TV, designer cabinetry, and more pleasant bathrooms.
NH Atlanta does not have an on-site workout room. Guests are encouraged to patronize the David Lloyd Health Club (€20/day), which is exactly a kilometer from the hotel. Lap swimmers will find refuge at David Lloyd. If you don't need to swim, head to Basic-Fit (€20/day - less than 500 meters from hotel) or Health City (€17.50/day - 15 minute walk from hotel). Both are viable options, especially since there's no gym here.
