Group Bike Rides

Tuesday and Thursday morning rolling from the shop at 6:30am sharp until ~8:00am.  The ride climbs to the Cabrillo national monument.  All abilities welcome. If you have aero bars, please refrain from using them in a group.  The ride is out and back, so don't worry if you get dropped when the fast riders paceline/accelerate at the top of the hill.  This ride is about the hill repeats in the park.  A steady 3/4mile climb 8% grade and no car traffic along the cliffs of the pacific ocean (photo op!!).  Do the hill once, or 10 times. It's up to you.  A group will assemble after repeats and ride back together.

Sunday morning ride starts off with free coffee and bagels in front of the shop.  It rolls out at 8:00am.  There is a different route for each Sunday of the month.  Pace is 17-20mph for most of the ride.  Faster riders will attack the climbs and fast paceline the wide open areas, regrouping after.  Each ride is an out and back, designated short ride turn-around makes it ~30miles.  Full ride is always about 55-60miles. 1st Sunday of the month is the only flat ride.  Other rides are hilly.  San Diego has hills!!
