We always enjoy finding outdoor pools: no heavy chlorine smells and the ability to swim beneath a blue sky put smiles on our faces. One of the few year-round pools in Tucson, Edith Ball is located within Reid Park. The water box itself isn't all that impressive, 4-lanes of 25-yard swimming.

Every Tuesday (5:15a) and Thursday (5:00a) at Sabino Canyon High School track located in North East Tucson at the corner of Snyder and Harrison Road, ESTA meets for track workouts.
- Group Run
Six-plus 25-yard lanes set up with floating lines, bottom stripes and the like. A better than average outdoor pool with water kept around 80-82F during the cooler months, but temps can get too warm in the summer topping out near 88F.

Primarily recommended as a lap swim alternative in downtown Tucson. Pool is 6-lanes x 25-yards with Kiefer lane lines and bottom stripes. The pool is technically outdoor, but walls and a ceiling cover it, providing an indoor feel. The current pool schedule is available online.

One of the more popular and centrally located Tucson pools, this facility sports 8 lanes of 25 yard swimming. This is a seasonal pool which closes during the winter months. Therefore, Udall is open for lap swimming from April 1st through November for lap swim.

Very convenient health club for those staying or working downtown. 26,000 square feet is quite of bit of urban sweat space and we approve. All the top brands' equipment are stocked and classes are plentiful.

36,000 square feet of renovated sweat space is available at this health club. If you have never seen a cardio cinema, this sweatbox has two to choose from.

Centrally located, the 2.98 mile David Bell paved running path circles the local municipal golf course. The loop is well-lit and has numerous water and bathroom stops along the way.
There is also a very popular 800-meter dirt track west of the Hi Corbett Field.
