For those looking for a place to nosh before or after exploring wonderful Granville Island, this moderately priced eatery has a trendy vibe with dark walls and floors, wood tables, red chairs, loft-like ceilings, and an overall urban decor. The food will likely not "wow" you, but we like the variety, location and outdoor patio. Keep in mind that the menu changes quite a bit because Cat's serves as the test kitchen for the Browns Restaurant Group, which owns a number establishments in the Province.
Brunch is offered from 10 to 2p on the weekends and favors hearty eaters. We say stick to the regular menu. For those who must have brunch, the sugar waffles with carmelized bananas, eggs benedict, short rib panini, or egg sandwich may appeal. You can order a green salad or Caesar as well as seasonal veggies.
