A member of the national Bike & Roll network of bike rental and tour companies, the D.C. group offers guided tours and individual bike rentals at reasonable prices. Featuring Trek bicycles, rentals include helmets, a basic maintenance pack (bike pump and tube), locks and a city map.

Award-winning bike shop that features Cannondale, Specialized, Jamis and other big name manufacturers. No rentals or demos at this Adam's Morgan location, but the Chevy Chase shop (10 minutes by car; 30 minutes by bike) does offer demos if you're considering a purchase.

Splendid running store with a helpful staff and plenty of running inventory. Also, a little fun fact for anyone interested in politics—Phillip Fenty, the founder of Fleet Feet, is the father of former D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty. Conveniently located in the Adam's Morgan neighborhood.

Georgetown Running Co.
Small run shop convenient for those staying in or around the Georgetown area. The location is right next to the Capitol Crescent Trail which follows the Potomac River. Get your shoes on and go!
Group runs leave Wednesday from the store at 7p, but check on times with seasonal changes.

The Bicycle Place - Silver Spring
High-end shop that carries Trek, Seven, BH, Raliegh and others. Group rides from the shop leave on Sundays at 8:30am. Located in the Rock Creek shopping center.
