What happened to Trader Joes Soy Crisps?

Could it be that Athletic-Minded Traveler's recent blog about Trader Joe's nutrition bait and switch led to the discontinuation of the very tasty Soy Crisps? It was about a month after the post that I no longer spied my favorite crunchy and salty snack on the store's shelves.

Soy Crisps versus Popchips

Until I read a short snack blurb in today's San Diego Union Tribune's Food Section about Popchips and their healthy snack potential, I had completely forgotten that I had sampled the barbeque flavor this past summer.

The all natural, "popped" chips were being handed out as freebies at a race event. And let me say, they were tasty. Jim concurred. Popchips are crunchy and flavorful.
