Awesome dirt trails behind the Broadmoor hotel that go on forever. Remember, you're well above 6,000 feet altitude.
* Start in front of the Broadmoor, then follow Lake Circle north and west
* Turn L on Mesa Ave. & quick R on Mayhurst Ave.

From the front entrance of the hotel, head out to the circle and turn right. Follow Pourtales Rd. until coming to Mirada Road and veer right. This road will end at Cheyenne Mountain Road and turn right again following this road through the golf course.
This is a popular course for the Pikes Peak Marathon and attracts runners every summer from across the United States. The grueling route from the trailhead to Barr Camp is 6.5 miles, while the distance from the Barr Camp to the Summit is 5.8 miles.
This relatively short trail heads through the National Forest just north of Woodland Park. The path follows a winding stream through a scenic valley while providing excellent views of Woodland Park and Pikes Peak. Be sure to stick to the most obvious route along the creek.
