Located 15km northwest of Munich in the town of Dachau, lies one of the most accessible and preserved concentration camps from World War II. You can visit via subway/bus on your own schedule--audio tours with headphones are available.

The party never ends and the beer never stops flowing at this landmark brewery. Hofbrauhaus has a lodge-like feel -- wide open rooms with high ceilings, long tables and big crowds. Live Bavarian-style music makes the loud place even louder (and more fun).

Fantastic venue for ice skating, but call to confirm available hours for "open skate". Also, check the website (link to left) for new schedules. Hockey and figure skates are rent-able. And, plenty of beginners on the ice so don't be intimidated.

These log raft rides are hardly the heart-pumping white water rafting one can experience on the Colorado or Deschutes Rivers in the USA, but they are a unique and fun experience. Check out the website for more details and a few photos. Great for groups, especially on a warm summer day.

May 1st - October 31st. Every Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday at 10am Starts at the Tourist Info right beside Isartor only 5-minutes walk from Marienplatz and the ride lasts for approximately 5 hours. 39Euros Heads south along banks of Isar river toward the Alps.

Meet at the main entrance to the New Gothic Rathaus located directly under the Glockenspiel on Marienplatz. For the walking tour, just show up at the meeting spot and pay 10Euros to the guide.

Not sure what to call it, but 10+ locals can be found each day riding the "Eddy" just below Prinzregenten Str. on the southern edge of the English Garden.
