Cinnabar Hills Golf Club
Often cited as Silicon Valley's best public golf course, Cinnabar offers 27 scenic holes across undulating terrain and challenging topography. $84 Monday through Thursday (includes half cart) and $105 on Fridays and $110 Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Coyote Point Recreation Area (CuriOdyssey)
This public park and recreation area hosts a wide variety of fun for thrill seekers and outdoor enthusiasts -- even great for a traditional playground/park for the kids (Magic Mountain is the playground to seek.) CuriOdyssey is also located in the park.

Garrod Farms
One of the most convenient horseback riding outfits to the Valley's business areas, Garrod Farms offers guided trail rides for $65/hour. If you'd like to extend the fun with a wine tasting and "mini buffet", this is an option on the last Sunday of each month ($90).

San Jose Flea Market
For travelers with a shopping addiction -- especially those with a craving for bargain hunting -- San Jose's Flea Market is a site to be seen. Streetside wares are peddled through an area nearly 8 miles in length. The vibe is very local and gritty, but safe and friendly.

Country Western nightclub with loads of fun. Live bands, karaoke nights, American Idol contests, and of course, a mechanical bull. Large club is deceivingly small looking from the street. Located in downtown Fremont.

Located in the heart of downtown San Jose, this indoor climbing facility provides a novel workout and a whole lot of fun. Lessons and rental gear are available as well as gear for purchase. Yoga, TRX and Core classes are also offered here. And there is a weight room too!
