In how many cities are you able to run along a paved path that stretches through the heart of downtown, beside an airport runway, and along popular commercial districts? The Guadalupe River Trail is convenient and popular with the local running crowd and travelers staying in hotels along it. Accessing the fairly flat path is simple if staying at many of our recommended downtown San Jose and Airport hotels. The path is insulated in a few areas by dense bushes and trees, so be alert and only walk/jog during daylight hours. Eleven miles total, but there are breaks in a few parts (i.e., it's discontinuous).
