Billed as a "blended" studio, Yoga Source offers a diverse curriculum of yoga styles including ashtanga, power yoga, Hot 26 (Bikram), Hot Pilates, Barre, pre/post-natal and even meditation. While we typically prefer "pure" Bikram studios for their drop-in friendly sequence, Yoga Source gives traveling yogis a little bit of everything.
The instructors receive high praise for their attention to detail and added personal touch, such as targeted adjustments and lavender oil neck massages during savasana (only after asking permission, of course). The bright and airy studio space provides a tranquil atmosphere with its tall ceilings and skylights, soft pine floors, warm yellow-toned walls and sleek modern light fixtures.
There are 2 restrooms available for freshening up, but unfortunately, there are NO SHOWERS here. Four changing rooms also offer storage space for your personal belongings.
The studio is conveniently located near the Stanford Stadium and Stanford Shopping in downtown Palo Alto. They are located between Emerson and High Streets, next to the Facebook headquarters, on Hamilton Avenue. Parking can be found on the street or in the public parking garage located Hamilton Ave.
A single class is $25, towel rentals are $1 and mats are available for complimentary use. Water is available for purchase for $1, and there is also a cold water fountain for refilling.
Since they offer a variety of classes and levels (65 classes a week), we suggest checking their website or calling ahead for more detailed information, otherwise classes are typically offered as early as 6:30a and as late as 8:15p. Classes are 60, 75 or 90 minutes in duration -- depending upon the particular class. The Class Description page here allows you to click through to see when the class you want is offered.
